Do anyone have a list of papers that work with Epson 870?
HP, for one, invests a great deal in ink and paper as a system, and the chemistry of ink and paper are definitely engineered to work together. dual boot

Ask on the forums for your flavour of Linux. bw.. I disagree; Epson printers usually work OK with Linux. But he said Epsom bet Linsux doesn't have drivers for that.

OT: Vista Stinks says M$ Execs
HP DesignJet 9650 and HP DesignJet 500 (large format printer)...I've got over $3000 in my printers, so don't suggest buying "Epson" as a solution. Vista is NOT ready to go...it ain't even close. "Gadgets" are real neat...but I need to load AutoCAD 2004 and my HP printer drivers and get back to work.

Printing BW with a laser
I have to say I was pretty excited to see enthusiasm for the iMac in the schools but my enthusiasm has been dampened because of this nonsense of requiring a download from a website just to get a printer to work! It's not like the Epson printers are some off-brand where you might expect some installation problems.

EPSON Printer Drivers
Does anyone know of an app that will give me an interactive session with my Epson dot-matrix printer? I could feed that in (its an LQ-2080 and will do plain paper), That would probably work in a "line mode" sort of way. That is you could get one line at a time. But that wouldn't help with horizontal position.

How the Epson Printers Work
I tried it with a 1650 and had to return it because the copy would not work. I was thinking of getting the 2450 and decided to ask Tech support if the copy would work as I use copy regularly. They said that if I had an HP printer, probably not. The only printer they would say would work was an Epson.

Getting Prints with Accurate Colour
There are several drivers listed, the one I used was Epson 800+ESC/P2. My suggestion would be to completely uninstall the Epson from your add/remove dialogue, when asked to remove unneeded files say yes. Reboot, open the control panel, click on printers and install the Epson again.
